Senior Adult Learning Center (SALC)

Welcome to SALC!

Becoming a senior auditor allows you to take many of the over 5,000 PSU courses offered each term. Our website contains information about joining SALC, registering for classes, and giving back to SALC. We also offer auditor events that you can learn about if you subscribe to our newsletter!

Registration dates and deadlines:

Summer 2024

  • April 22nd: Schedule of classes is available online
  • May 6th: Registration begins (start emailing instructors May 6th for permission to audit)
  • June 26th: Classes start this week- note there are specific 
  • Drop deadline: Since classes start and finish at different times in the summer, see the academic calendar for specific summer term drop deadlines.

Fall 2024

  • April 29th: Schedule of classes is available online
  • September 9th: Registration begins

All dates and deadlines are listed on the PSU's academic calendar. Auditors are considered non degree students when referring to the academic calendar.

SALC Hold

The SALC Account Hold

All senior auditors have a hold on their PSU accounts and it does NOT require any action. The hold prevents PSU from charging tuition and it is a reminder that auditors must work with the SALC office to get registered for courses. It may look alarming at first, but it is a "good hold" and it should NOT be removed.
